According to SheSaid:

This is just in time for a good summer read by the beach or pool! This rollicking read is great fun, lot’s of conversation, plenty of slang and set in Perth with plenty of action. Be careful though you might just find yourself laughing out loud! Curiously, Marianne Delacourt is the pseudonym of a successful Australian science fiction-fantasy author who is sold throughout the world. Wonder who?? Marianne grew up in Perth and now lives in Brisbane with her husband and three sons. No wonder the Perth references are so authentic!

Will be at Southport Park on Saturday to sign Sharp Shooter. Other than that, I’ve got a book deadline for next week, so I’m a little behind on my whodunnit posting. Will catch up by next Wednesday.

This kind of sums me up for the next week.

One of my intrepid ‘de-facto publicists’ is on the job in Perth and has convinced yet another book club that they should read Sharp Shooter. Yay for Mrs Hendo! Word mouth is the most effective and coveted form of publicity. Nothing much better than it really. So if you’ve enjoyed Tara Sharp, please tell someone about it. Book 2 is on its waaay… promise.

Week 7 is up. I was planning to finish the story last week but things have kinda grown a little, so it will run for another week or so. Very happy to get feedback on it though tarasharp@live.com.

No signing this weekend. But Southport Park coming up the following week.

Indooroopilly was fun as a few people dropped by to say hello. Belinda-darl brought in her chainmail jewellry for me to have a look at, and we’re concocting a plan to use it (thanks for the fruit clusters, Belinda – I ate them all! My turn to bring them next time).

Sold A&R’s last copy of Sharp Shooter, so many thanks to Cat for having us. Working today, so better get back to it.

Tara’s whodunnit week 6# is now up in the Fully Dead section in the right hand menu. A little bit late as week 7# has started, but the weekend was overrun with an 18th birthday party and sport. Enjoy!

This Saturday (21st) 11am to 1pm. I missed the last signing there, as I was sick, so am looking forward to it. Kylie Chan will also be coming.

And if you haven’t become a fan of Tara Sharp and Parrish Plessis on Facebook – then you should!

North Lakes signing was pretty quiet, though I got to have a good catch up with KC. A few more signings to go before xmas and then I’ll have a break until the New Year. It’s been great to get out into the shopping centres and meet some of the lovely booksellers.

I’ll be blogging on ’switching genres’ at Fleur McDonald’s on December 1st. Fleur has some great guests coming up on her blog, so you should check it out.

And amazingly, it’s Friday again. Tara’s post’s will be up in the Fully Dead section later today. Next week is the end of the first whodunnit. See if you can solve the crime before Tara.

You can download the media release for Sharp Shooter and some good quality pics from this Allen and Unwin page - in essence a media kit. And while you’re there, order a copy for a friend for xmas. It’s a perfect fit for a (lumpy) xmas stocking.
