Week 9 is up on the Fully Dead page. My apologies for the go-slow. Xmas and deadline have made it almost impossible finish up the first story. But it’s first on my list for the New Year. So next week all will be revealed! For anyone wondering about the dates or booking for the PWF, you can go here. As I sit down to my manuscript for book 2 today, I find Tara is up to hijinks again. I swear she does it when I’m not around and then I have to come in and clean up the mess! And here’s a review that’s popped up in the Townsville Bulletin. Carindale signing on xmas eve (11am-1pm). I may be slightly hysterical, but I’ll be there… Thanks to the people at Burleigh Heads and Pac Fair who bought copies of Sharp Shooter. Other than that, am working on book 2, waking up in the morning, head filled with the escapades that Tara has gotten herself into. Vive l’imagination!
… then believe the Unley Libraries, that Sharp Shooter is the best summer read you can buy/borrow. And, no, it’s not my local library – it’s in South Australia! It’s not too late to give someone a copy as a gift for Xmas and if you contact me within the next day or so I’m happy to post you a signed bookplate for the inside cover. I’ll be at Angus and Robertson Pacific Fair (11-1pm) this Saturday, and Burleigh Heads (11am-1pm) on Sunday. And my final gig will be with Kylie Chan at Carindale (11-1pm) store on the 24th. We’ll be the ones in the Santa hats. Ho, ho,ho! Other than that, hunkering down with Tara Sharp Book 2, heading towards a February deadline. The Bendigo Weekly is doing a giveaway pack which includes a copy of Sharp Shooter, and Red Dust by Fleur McDonald. If you’re in the area, think about signing up for the prizes. Tomorrow I’ll be at my local A&R store in Vicky Point between 10.30-12.30. Would welcome some conversation! Fully Dead week 8# is up and week 9# is in progress. Apologies for the week’s break while I met deadline on Mirror Space. The city signing was quiet as far as selling books went, but we had plenty of friends drop by. Now for a weekend working hard on book 2. I’m particularly delighted to say that I’ll be a guest at The Perth Writers Festival in February 2010. Looking forward to catching up with friends and family already. After perusing the author list, I realised that I do know a few of the other attendees, including Garth Nix and Jack Heath. Should be a great deal of fun. Kylie Chan and I will be signing books at Angus and Robertson, Post Office Square store, on Friday (11/12/09) between 11am and 1pm. This will be our last city signing, though we still have some others coming up; including Victoria Point, Burleigh Heads and Carindale.
