I’m thrilled to say that as of 2011 (next week!) Kylie Fox and Mandy Wrangles will be assisting me on this site. Kylie will be taking the role of Site Manager and Mandy will be Chief Contributor. The content will get a lot more interesting and will include regular book reviews, interviews with not only authors but people in associated industries (forensics, law), and a bunch of other ‘crime time’ goodies.

Kylie and Mandy’s involvement will give me more time to spend writing for which I’m very grateful. Also, being active members of Sisters in Crime Australia, they’re in the heart of things. You can read their bios on the ABOUT page and there is a contact link for Kylie if you’d like to be interviewed, or you have books you’d like reviewed.

Say hello to the Sharp Girls!

Now available from a number of places including Read Without Paper and Mobipocket

Thanks to Adam Hauldren for living proof that Tara is in the Jetstar magazine.

Also excited to see that Sharp Turn is a Recommended Crime Read at Readings.

And she’s available on sale (cheaper, that is) in e-book right now at Angus and Robertson.

In other news, I’ve just finished an interview for the Partners in Crime newsletter, to be in the next edition:

Partners in Crime is associated with Sisters in Crime Australia. They hold regular events in Sydney with speakers, publish a newsletter, and run an annual short-story competition, Queens of Crime, open to both women and men.

Also, I’m delighted to say Ellen Connolly and Candace Sutton, co-authors of Lady Killer will be guest blogging here in the New Year.

Angus and Robertson have listed 60 great Aussie reads for Xmas. Check them out and consider supporting our wonderful local talent.

Meanwhile don’t forget that Dymocks are offering a two in one Kerry Greenwood/Marianne Delacourt double. Not to be missed!

She said Says:

Sabotage, murder, kidnap and simmering romance – what more do you want when you are by the pool? A heroine who investigates noises in the night, confronts the dodgy stalker, and breaks into the baddies house at midnight – all on no sleep.

Delacort has invented a Stephanie Plum character who is just as ballsy and loveable but this one lives in Perth and has 2 pet Galahs instead of a hamster. An easy read with multiple story layers, Sharp Turn will keep you guessing till the end, pick it up this summer if you like Janet Evanovich and Val McDermid’s, Blue Genes.

Abbey’s bookshop is offering two Tara Sharp novels for the price of one while stocks last. In their words, the novels are “Packed with kick arse action for anyone who loves a fab, feisty, female character.”

How exciting, Tara got a snip review in the Jetstar Magazine:

Sharp Turn

Holidays are perfect for mysteries, especially those featuring the lovable heroine Tara Sharp. Between hunting down a motorbike saboteur, teaching body language reading to bordello girls and keeping a homeless friend off her couch, Marianne Delacourt’s protagonist is deep in it. Arena (an imprint of Allen & Unwin), AU$29.99, ISBN 9781742370033.

And while you’re out Christmas shopping, you should snap up the two-pack Kerry Greenwood/Marianne Delacourt for $23. Great holiday double!
