Sharp Edge

Garth Wilmot, Tara’s ex-boyfriend and current accountant, has found some worrying discrepancies in the books of a fashion house called Chic Chic. When he gets a threatening warning and told to turn a blind eye, he goes to Tara for advice.

Flattered (and downright flabbergasted!) by Garth’s vote of confidence in her, Tara vows to help him out of trouble. She sets Wal to watch over his personal safety while she disguises herself as a PA and gets a temp job in the firm. Her investigations reveal that Johnny Viaspa’s sister is a major shareholder in Chic Chic and they are laundering her brother’s drug money.

Tara’s determination to help Garth out wavers. Johnny Viaspa has already tried to have her killed once, and she doesn’t want to do another round with him. However, Viaspa finds out that Tara has been sniffing around and threatens to ruin the career of Tara’s magazine editor, Martin Longbok if she doesn’t retreat.

There isn’t much Tara wouldn’t do for Bok, so she plunges back into the fight, more dogged than ever. Fortunately, Nick Tozzi has some heavyweight friends who ensure that she goes into the ring against Viaspa on even weight. Thank God for her unrivaled roundhouse punch!
