Ned Kelly awards

I’m excited to see Sharp Shooter is eligible for the Ned Kelly awards for Best First Novel. So many great books there, I’m happy to be in such auspicious company; Emma Boling, Stephen Irwin, Kaaren Warren, Justine Larbalastier and Rhonda Roberts to mention just a few.

And … because I’ve been enjoying so many great book blogs lately, I thought that I’d start showcasing some of them here. I love that the blog owners do this simply for the love of good fiction.

So, if you haven’t been here already, visit …

    Congrats on your shortlisting!

Hi Kaaron, I assumed it was a nomination not a shortlisting as such?

The site is a bit unclear…I clicked on this link “A shortlist of entries for this years’ award is on our 2010 nominations page.”

So I think they are shortlistings!

Interesting… last years nominations was only about 3 books per category, whereas this year has about fifteen. I might email Carmel Shute and ask her.
Whatever, congrats on your sl/nom as well! :)

Oh dear, maybe I’m excited too soon…please let me know!

    Hi Kaaron,

just spoke to Lindy and she says she thinks it’s just books submitted by the publishers. Will confirm though.
