The next whodunnit diary will begin in May. I’m keen to hear if there are any characters in the whodunnits who you’d like to see make it into the novels. In Fully Dead we met PI Marriage, Cousin Veno (aka The Toad)and Lady Venom. Fully Dead, Tara Sharp’s first free diary whodunnit is finished (read it in the side bar or on Facebook). Many thanks to the people who gave me feedback. If anyone else has thoughts on if they’d like to see read another one, or if anyone has suggested improvements, I’m all ears. It was, as I said before, an experiment that presented some challenges. It did bring me closer to the characters and strangely, now, as I’m writing book 2, I’ve incorporated the adventure into my back story. Lady Venom, the hit woman, will definitely make an appearance in the books but she’ll have a way cooler nickname – one that I didn’t invent on the spot. The next installment has been posted: Will Tara find Lucy Lund’s killer and free The Toad from gaol? Is Johnny Vogue the perp? Is Jamie Marriage really a PI? Why is Nick Tozzi lying to her? Does psycho-roadie, Wal, have any bullets in his pistol? Will Tara survive to ever eat another vanilla slice? Week 9 is up on the Fully Dead page. My apologies for the go-slow. Xmas and deadline have made it almost impossible finish up the first story. But it’s first on my list for the New Year. So next week all will be revealed! Fully Dead week 8# is up and week 9# is in progress. Apologies for the week’s break while I met deadline on Mirror Space. The city signing was quiet as far as selling books went, but we had plenty of friends drop by. Now for a weekend working hard on book 2. Week 7 is up. I was planning to finish the story last week but things have kinda grown a little, so it will run for another week or so. Very happy to get feedback on it though tarasharp@live.com. No signing this weekend. But Southport Park coming up the following week.
I’ll be blogging on ’switching genres’ at Fleur McDonald’s on December 1st. Fleur has some great guests coming up on her blog, so you should check it out. And amazingly, it’s Friday again. Tara’s post’s will be up in the Fully Dead section later today. Next week is the end of the first whodunnit. See if you can solve the crime before Tara. Wow, it’s Friday already. This is a last reminder that Kylie Chan and I will be at Arana Hill’s library tomorrow. Brookside signing – 31st October (held in the Arana Hills library, 12 – 1.30). For enquiries or bookings please ring: Angus and Robertson Brookside (07) 38551612 0r Pam or Karen at the library (07) 33513401 Also, Tara Sharp’s whodunnit posts for the week will be in the Fully Dead section (right hand menu), later today. We’re getting close to finding out who set Toad up for a murder rap, and what Nick Tozzi is hiding. Had a most enjoyable seminar with Kim Wilkins WEP students last night, they were fab. And if you haven’t read Kim Wilkins’ (aka Kimberley Freeman) books, then you should! Have beautiful, happy, shiny weekend, my friends. The summary of Tara’s first week of posts on her Facebook Whodunnit are up in the sidebar under Fully Dead. Or you can read them in the NOTES section of her Facebook page. I would welcome any feedback, as we go along. And, of course, feel free to interact with Tara as she posts live. |
